the TAO says and i'm paraphrasing here-
when a great man makes a mistake he corrects and thanks the one who pointed out that mistake.
Sun Tzu said the supreme excellence is not to win a hundred victories in a hundred battles. The supreme excellence is to subdue the armies of your enemies w/out even having to fight them.
and a Latin proverb says - Sweet is war to those who have never experienced it.
